Powermat to launch BlackBerry Torch Receiver in March 2011

I love my BlackBerry Torch, but my Powermat has been collecting dust since I switched devices. In the past six months or so, Powermat has really stepped up their game by offering new wireless charging receivers for other popular smartphones, like the HTC EVO, Apple iPhone 4, BlackBerry Bold 9700, and Curve 9300. The Cellular Guru is reporting that Powermat finally has plans to unveil a wireless charging receiver for the BlackBerry Torch 9800 this March. The receiver for the BlackBerry Torch will allows owners to place their Torch on their Powermat charging mat, and wirelessly charge it. You will need a Powermat mat in order to use the receiver, and there is no word if Powermat plans to offer them in a combo package, but stay tuned.

We hope to get an official word from Powermat sooner than later…

I saw in this post you mention & link to my post.
If you would like me to forward you a copy of the email I received from PowerMat I would be glad to send it to you…it isn’t a press release but as of right now it is as official as we seem to be able to getting right now.
