Review: ION Factory Carbon Fiber Shell for BlackBerry Bold 9700

ION Factory Carbon Fiber Shell for Bold 9700

If you love Carbon Fiber then I must warn you this review is going to make you fall in love. Today we are reviewing the ION Factory Carbon Fiber Leather Shell for the BlackBerry Bold 9700. It’s a beautiful custom fitted leather shell, with stitched leather and a streak of carbon fiber running down the back. This Carbon Fiber shell from ION Factory features an enclosed bottom with a hole for the microphone. The entire case is wrapped around the phone leaving the sides and top accessible.

This case leaves the side and top exposed? Yes, it’s true the ION Factory Carbon Fiber case does leave the sides exposed, as well the top, however you never feel like your device is going to fall out. ION Factory did provide some protection for the top and sides with the leather outline (which you can see in the picture above). Keep in mind this case doesn’t have any sort of holster, therefore most of the time it will be in your hand or pocket.

Why this case? Some people (like myself) love Carbon Fiber. I think it just looks really sweet, and it gives you that racing feeling. The ION Factory shell is stitched together and it just feels like a well built case. Although it doesn’t snap or buckle your BlackBerry fully in, you never feel like its going to pop out of the top. I was always impressed on how well my device felt protected, and never had to worry when it got bumped around.

ION Factory Carbon Fiber Shell for Bold 9700Overall Thoughts: ION Factory is know for a more premium and classy accessory. If you love protecting your device, and don’t mind spending a little extra, then we highly recommend you check this out. The Carbon Fiber shell we reviewed costs about $79 USD directly from their website: ion-factory.com. All of their cases are shipped out directly from China via Express Mail, and you will actually be surprised how fast it arrives.

If you don’t have a BlackBerry don’t worry! ION Factory creates products for the Apple iPhone, iPod, Macbook series, as well the Google Nexus One, HTC Touch HD, and others. You can see their entire portfolio at ion-factory.com.

Accessorize Mobile Rating: ★★★★½

Where to Buy: You can pick up the ION Factory Carbon Fiber Shell from ION-Factory.com. This particular case we reviewed for the Bold 9700 costs about $79.89 USD. Each order gets shipped priority direct from China, and it really didn’t take that long to come to Canada.
